Brazil World Coffee Championships took place November 7-9 in Belo Horizonte during the International Coffee Week. National champions from across the world and brought national champions across the globe came to battle for four world titles: the World Brewers Cup, the World Latte Art Championship, the World Cup Tasters Championship, and the World Coffee in Good Spirits Championship. World Brewers Cup Emi Fukahori from Switzerland won the World Brewers Cup. During the first round competitors completed two coffee services – a compulsory service and an open service. For the compulsory service, competitors prepared three beverages utilizing whole bean coffee provided to them by the competition. For the open service, competitors used any whole bean coffee of their choosing and also accompany their beverage preparation with a presentation. Rankings: 1st – Emi Fukahori – Switzerland 2nd – Regine Wai Yee Beng – Malaysia 3rd – Stathis Koremtas – Greece 4th – Pang-Yu Liu – Taiwan 5th – Kaoru Kamiyama – Japan 6th – Yeo Qing He – Singapore World Coffee in Good Spirits Championship Dan Fellows representing the United Kingdom emerged victorious to be crowned the 2018 World Coffee in Good Spirits Champion.
