A press breakfast was held in Moscow to coincide with International Coffee Day , a holiday celebrated in many producing and coffee-consuming countries.  This year International Coffee Day in Moscow, in contrast to previous times, has a special, Brazilian, taste. It is because of the fact: celebration of the International Coffee Day in 13 cities of the world (Brasilia, Paris, London, Berlin, Shanghai, Tokyo, Seoul, Sydney, Abu Dhabi, New York, Los Angeles and Miami), including in Moscow, was supported by the embassies of Brazil and APEx-Brazil, the Brazilian export and investment promotion agency. In Russia, the date of the Coffee Day almost concurred with the 190th anniversary of the diplomatic relations establishment between Russia and Brazil. Ramaz Chanturiya, General Director of The Rusteacoffee Association , delivered a welcoming speech to those who gathered at the press breakfast. He noted the unprecedented coffee harvest in Brazil and great country influence on the world coffee market climate. The Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil to the Russian Federation Antonio Luis Espinola Salgado spoke about the current situation on the Brazilian market and its enormous potential. Brazil keeps for about a one third of the world's coffee production. The country has reserved its place in history as one of the largest suppliers of raw coffee on the planet. President of Montana Coffee Alexander Malchik told guests about the rapid increase in demand for high-quality coffee in Russia in recent years and evaluated the growth potential of the Russian market as very high. The press breakfast ended with a presentation and Brazilian coffee tasting, which was hosted by the “Roaster of the Year” winner, Q-grader Sergey Tabera and specialist from Torrefacto , Q-grader Sergey Plutakhin.
