This coffee shop prank perfectly demonstrates the risk of sharing data online

Ever wondered how much data a company could gather on you with nothing more than a first name and a Facebook Like?  In the experiment above — which was shared by fraud prevention company Cifas — a coffee shop shows exactly that; by getting customers to Like their Facebook page for a free coffee and then asking for their first name, they're able to quickly compile scary amounts of personal data in the time it takes to whip up a cappuccino. The information — which is searched for by people in a van across the road and whispered into the ear of the coffee server — ranges from contact details and past education to current employment and religion. Big Brother really is watching you. Source: mashable.com/2016/07/06/coffee-shop-personal-data-prank/#BiRRQBRPQEq9
