World coffee exports down 3.1% in CY 2014/15
World coffee exports in coffee year 2014/15 (Oct/14 to Sep/15) fell by 3.1% to 110.75 million bags compared to 114.24 million bags in the previous coffee year, according to ICO’s monthly figures.
In the twelve months ending September 2015, exports of Arabica totalled 68.40 million bags compared to 69.70 million bags last year (-1.9%); whereas Robusta exports amounted to 42.35 million bags compared to 44.53 (-4.9%).
Exports from Brazil reached a record level of 36.268 million bags, up 1.8% on year. Vietnam shipped little over 20 million bags, down 19.2% from coffee year 2013/14.
Exports from Colombia rose a whopping 13.3% to 12.281 million bags: the highest level in more than 20 years.
Indonesia sold 7.3 million bags, up 3.4% on year.
Coffee exports amounted to 8.87 million bags in September 2015, compared with 9.40 million bags in September 2014.
