RUSSIA became a full member of International Coffee Organization
President Vladimir Putin signed the law on Russia's accession to the International Coffee Agreement 2007, says the official website of legal information on Monday. According to the Federal Ministry of Economic Development, Russia still had the International Coffee Organization observer status and now will get the full membership. The Russian parliament ratified the law on 4 March.
Nowadays coffee consumption in Russia increased more than 50% compared to 1998 and reached 250 thousand tons per year. The volume of the market in terms of money is close to $ 3 billion.
