Supervisory Board of UTZ
Vanusia Nogueira, executive director of the Brazil Specialty Coffee Association, is joining the Supervisory Board of UTZ Certified.
The executive director of BSCA, Vanusia Nogueira, is the newest member of the Supervisory Board of UTZ Certified, which is composed with representatives of producers, supply chain, civil society, non-governmental organizations and representatives of trade unions.
In a statement, the institution said the executive director of BSCA took Carlos Brando’s position, the P & A International Marketing, who left the collegiate after serving the maximum number of seats in the Board of Supervisors.
Daughter of a coffee producer, Vanusia is a reputable professional who works with a focus on management and promotion of specialty coffees from Brazil, involving family farms and large farms producing Arabica variety.
In recent years, also had contact with many sustainability procedures in Brazil, including certification processes, and the entire production chain of coffee and with the Federal Government. Vanusia is also responsible for coordinating the international promotion of Brazilian specialty coffee.
The Board of UTZ Certified meets at least three times a year to oversee the executive team. When subjects have greater relevance, the Council's approval is required before executives can communicate resolutions.
