From 15 to 16 September 2014 in the Sokolniki in Moscow was held the most important industrial event in the area of coffee and tea for Russia and other CIS countries - United Coffee & Tea Industry Event (UCTIE). UCTIE - is an international united coffee and tea conference and exhibition for the representatives of the entire production chain, from grain and leaf to the cup. The exhibition brought together 54 exhibitors and partners from around the world. This year UCTIE was visited by 2 000 people from more than 20 countries from different regions of Russia, CIS countries, Europe, America and Asia - representatives of all segments of the coffee and tea market in Russia and abroad, manufacturers and distributors of finished products, roasters, packers, technologists, specialized traders and retailers, as well as representatives of a segment HoReCa. At the 5th Moscow International Coffee Forum and the 4th Moscow International Tea Symposium, which was held under the auspices UCTIE since last year, was offered a comprehensive business program from professionals in the field of coffee and tea from around the world: more than 30 seminars, presentations and workshops , tea ceremonies, wine plantation varieties of coffee, tea and chocolate. All activities UCTIE were devoted to various aspects of coffee and tea throughout the supply chain from cultivation to filling in a cup and they were aimed at improving knowledge in this area. In Laboratory of Taste everyone could taste the different varieties of coffee and tea from Tanzania, Brazil, Costa Rica, Vietnam, Indonesia, Laos, Georgia, from different countries of America, Africa and Asia, as well as enjoy the diverse varieties of Puerh tea. In addition to traditional lectures and seminars Factory of roasting worked - a special area where visitors could roast coffee in the desired profile, received valuable advice from experts, and also see the fryer equipment in action. On the exhibition were held the final qualifying round of the Russian International Barista Championship Ultimate Barista Challenge, the final of the 2nd National Championship Tea Masters Cup, as well as the Russian Cezve / Ibrik Championship. The winners of the 2nd National Championship Tea, who competed in three categories were: Vladislav Lebedev and Lomaeva Natalia in the nomination Mastership of brewing tea, Mikheeva Darya in the Mastership of tea composition and Pleshakova Anna in the Mastership of tea tasting . Now the best Russian masters will represent our country at the World Tea Masters Cup in Istanbul. As part of Barista Championship participants exchanged experiences and competed with international coffee experts from different countries. As a result, Sergei Stepanchuk has become the new 2014 Ultimate Barista Russia champion in Espresso Cocktails & Best of Brew (Siphon) categories. In the Cezve / Ibrik Championship the winner was Viktor Kuznetsov, who now has an opportunity to represent our country in Greece on the world stage - World Cezve / Ibrik Championship 2015. In the traditional evening reception, which took place at the end of the first day of the exhibition, was declared Man of the Year in the coffee and tea industry according to magazine Coffee & Tea in Russia. Man of the Year in the field of coffee was Tatiana Luhminskaya - for authorship, organization and methodical support Team Championships of Coffee Enthusiasts - original competitively educational format, successfully implemented in the framework of the United Coffee & Tea Industry Event in September 2013. The title of Man of the Year in the field of tea was given to Denis Shumakov - for methodological contribution to the development of the project Tea Masters Cup, as well as his active participation as an author and leading to a series of broadcasts Tea on the channel Food.
