Colombian Coffee Hub, with its Coffee Match to Origin competition, is offering two people the opportunity to win a trip to Medellin, Colombia to attend ExpoEspeciales 2014. Winners will also attend the Barista Open Camp in Venecia, Antioquia. ExpoEspeciales is taking place in Plaza Mayor, Medellin, Colombia from 2  – 5 October. The trade show allows growers and coffee lovers to come together to discover the different coffees that the regions of Colombia have to offer. With just over three months to go, Colombian Coffee Hub has launched the interactive Coffee Match to Origin competition. Entry to the competition involves downloading the Colombian Coffee Hub App and collecting points by participating as a ‘hubber’. Participants collect 20 points just for registering or updating their data, 30 points for sharing their story with coffee, 15 points for answering trivia at the hub and 30 points for being part of the weekly discussions and sharing relevant content with the community. Colombian Coffee will also post weekly trivia at the Hub or through @Colcoffeehub, providing ongoing opportunities to earn points. The winners of the Coffee Match to Origin competition will also attend the Barista Open Camp run by Fritz Storm and Kentaro Maruyama. Fritz Storm was a World Barista Champion in 2002 and Kentaro Maruyama owns a roaster and 4 coffee shops, as well as being on the board of directors at the Specialty Coffee Association of Japan. Their camp is designed to train baristas and improve coffee knowledge and skills. Source: gcrmag.com/news/article/colombian-coffee-hub-gives-away-two-trips-to-expoespeciales
