Rusteacoffee Association uniting 17 biggest Russian tea & coffee operators became an institutional member of Speciality Coffee Association of Europe (SCAE, www.scae.com).  SCAE was established in 1998. Nowadays it is one of the most competent world platforms uniting both natural and legal persons interested in quality coffee consumption development. SCAE numbers nearly 1800 members in more than 70 countries of the world. There are national departments operating in each country. Russian department actually numbers 51 members. Those are mostly baristas and coffee houses` representatives. Besides Russian Association of Tea & Coffee Producers SCAE includes in the capacity of institutional members such influential associative structures of the world as Speciality Coffee Association of America (SCAA), Guatemalan National Coffee Association (Anacafe), Speciality Coffee Association of Japan (SCAJ), Brazil Specialty Coffee Association (BSCA) and others.  As noted by Director General of Rusteacoffee Association Ramaz Chanturiya this action was dictated by the necessity of deepening information and expert interaction with one of the most important institutions of coffee market development proven to be effective. « Russian coffee market currently approached a qualitatively new stage of its formation during which ideas of Speciality* can give the process necessary depth», - affirms Rusteacoffee Head. In his opinion Speciality segment in our country is now very young but with a balanced and reasonable approach it will have great future. Through the membership of SCAE Rusteacoffee Association is planning to apply efforts for adapting European technologies Speciality market development in Russia. At the same time it is willing to intensify Russian professional community integration with the international coffee movement. Besides that Rusteacoffee is ready to become an active member of Russian national department и provide the necessary support to all the other members.   At the same time a special Advisory Council for development Speciality coffee & tea will be established for the purpose of practical work activization for this market segment development under Rusteacoffee. This public body`s objective will be development of specific industry-wide project proposals.
