Afternoon tea tradition returns to church
served again at All Saints’ Episcopal Church on Sunday, said Clerk of the Vestry Anne Sanders, herself a native of Great Britain. The Traditional English Afternoon Tea will begin at 2:30 p.m. in Daniel Hall at the church, 1708 Watson Blvd. in Warner Robins.
There will be a variety of teas served, as well as the sandwiches and cakes for which the event is so well known. Guests will be welcomed by a Scottish piper playing the bagpipes. To add to the fun, there will be door prizes and a grand raffle. The cost is $20 per person, with proceeds benefiting the church’s roof fund. Tickets and reserved tables can be purchased in advance by calling 301-2705 or 923-1791.
“The tea is a splendid way for young people especially to experience a real traditional English tea,” Sanders said.
Shakespeare revisited
If you missed the fall presentation of “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged),” another opportunity to enjoy this hilarious comedy will be offered 8 p.m. March 2-3 by the Warner Robins Little Theatre, 502 S. Pleasant Hill Road in Warner Robins. Reservations are not required, and tickets are $10 per person at the door.
