Strauss is expanding coffee production in CIS
The fifth-largest world coffee producer "Strauss Group" invests in a new plant for the coffee production for Russian and Ukraine markets. Expanding production Strauss is planning to reduce the cost of production, despite regular price increase of raw materials.
Strauss Group reported yesterday about the plans to expand production in the CIS. The main production facilities are now located in Odintsovo, Moscow region and after the acquisition of the company Le Cafe late last year, the additional workspace for instant coffee production was added in Strunino , Russia, Vladimirskaya area.
The company is planning to combine capacities at the plant in Strunino, acquiring the equipment and constructing a large logistics center. Plant's capacity will reach 12 thousand tons of coffee beans per year, will be launched in 2012.
