IN LONDON THERE HAS PASSED 107 SESSION COFFEE THE OPEC

Last week in London there passed 107 session of the International Coffee Organization (ICO) on which important questions of a current condition and the further development of the world coffee market are discussed. The great attention has been given a question of influence of the high prices of coffee raw materials on world consumption of coffee. Elections of the new Chief executive of this influential coffee organization were one of the central questions of the agenda of session.On court of member countries ICO three nominees from representatives of Brazil, India and Mexico have been presented. Following the results of voting by the new head the ICO became the director of department of Coffee and the head of one of Secretaries in the Ministry of Agriculture, animal industries and the food-processing industry of Brazil Mr. Robério Oliveira Silva. Russia possessing the status of the observer at the ICO, didn't take part in voting, however under the information from the Russian Ministry of economic development and trade, process of joining to the given organization is already started. The attention to the coffee market of our country from outside the ICO continues to remain high, in particular, the General director of Association RUSTEACOFFEE Ramaz Chanturiya has been invited to one of recent sessions of the summit with the report on a condition and prospects of the Russian coffee branch.
